La Vamparita Margarita Recipe

Cheers to Halloween! Beware of the Vamparita. This lady “es una Margarita sangrienta” – or a bloody Margarita. Unlike a Bloody Mary, this Margarita recipe drink is actually your traditional frozen margarita layered with sangria. Potent and alluring, this Vamparita Margarita recipe is sure to please even the most demanding blood-thirsty pallet.  It is perfect for Halloween – but really almost any time and can be whipped up by the pitcher.  It is cool and refreshing and will quench your thirst!  Once you fill each glass, add a straw so you can give it a swirl before drinking.  It may seem like a strange combination, but it works together pretty nicely.  Careful – between the wine and tequila – this cocktail packs a serious bloody punch!

To serve up a Vamparita simply fill 2/3 of a tall glass with frozen margarita and then pour in sangria for the remaining 1/3. Garnish with an orange wedge and serve immediately.
