What does Double-Strength mean?
Twice as many beans are used to make each gallon, doubling its’ strength. That means you can cut the amount of vanilla used in a recipe by half. Or…. Use the same amount the recipe calls for to really punch up the vanilla-y goodness of your dish.

Did you know? Vanilla is the ultimate tropical ingredient! It is the only fruit bearing Orchid, and must be hand-pollinated. It’s natural pollinators are Melipona bees and occasionally hummingbirds. Each flower remains open for just 24 hours, after which, if not pollinated, it wilts, dies, and drops to the ground. If pollination is successful, a fruit develops in the form of a 6-to-10-inch-long pod, filled with thousands of minuscule black seeds (the appealing specks in good-quality vanilla ice cream).
