This dreamy pineapple chutney recipe is sooo delicious! This chutney is given a fresh look with the addition of our Tropical Dream Green Tea. The Green Tea adds a nice flavor boost that really enhances the flavor of the pineapple. This is an excellent chutney to add on top of a nice yellow or pound cake, on a bagel with cream cheese, or as part of a trifle. For a savory combination, this can be added onto to a nice piece of pork. Pork and pineapple really pair together so well. Hope you enjoy this pineapple chutney as much as we do!
Ingredients needed to make the Pineapple Chutney:
- 21 oz fresh pineapple, cut into strips
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp tumeric
- 2 whole cloves
- 2 cardomon pods
- ½ cup superfine sugar
- 2 Tropical Dream green tea bags (or 2 tbsp green tea leaves)
Instructions:
Place all the ingredients in a medium saucepan and cook on a very gentle heat until the pineapple is softened. Remove the tea bags after about 10 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow mixture to cool. Pour into a sterilized glass jar. Makes about 2 cups.
