So recently I came upon a recipe for bloody mary type of beer cocktail that called for a Mexican lager. It got me thinking…. What if we tried it with a Medalla beer out of Puerto Rico? The beers are pretty similar in terms of the taste and such, so why not, right? This is not a cocktail for everyone – but if you love citrus and hot sauce, and tomatoes, this may be the drink for you….

Recipe for a Medallada

Rim a pint glass with salt and a slice of lime and then add ice.

Add the following:
1-1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. tomato juice
1/2 oz. fresh orange juice
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce;

Season with Red Savina Citrus Slammer hot sauce to taste
Top off with a very cold Medalla beer.
