Basil Chile Watermelon Agua Fresca

Makes a big flask

    • 1/3 cup Lime Cane Sugar
    • 4 cups water
    • 6 cups chopped, seeded watermelon
    • 1/3 cup chopped basil leaves
    • 1 small green chile, chopped (optional)
    • Juice of one lime
Directions to Make the Watermelon Agua Fresca:
1. Stir the sugar into the water in a large bowl. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.
2. In a blender, liquefy the watermelon, basil and chile.
3. Add the watermelon puree and lime juice to the sugar water. Stir well and pour into a pitcher.
4. Chill in the fridge and serve over ice.
