Tropical mimosas are a favorite part of Sunday Brunch down here…. The sparkly champagne combined with juice just screams ‘day off’, take your time, and enjoy yourself all in one pretty champagne glass. Of course there is nothing wrong with a mimosa with the traditional orange juice. But if you haven’t tried it with tropical juices, you are truly missing out. Here are some great tropical variations on the traditional mimosa:
Passion fruit Mimosa
Add ice to champagne flutes. Fill half of a champagne flute with chilled champagne, then top off with chilled passion fruit juice.
Guava Mimosa
Add ice to champagne flutes. Fill half of a champagne flute with chilled champagne, then top off with chilled guava juice.
Pineapple
Add ice to champagne flutes. Fill half of a champagne flute with chilled champagne, then top off with chilled pineapple juice.
Pink Grapefruit
Add ice to champagne flutes. Fill half of a champagne flute with chilled champagne, then top off with chilled grapefruit juice.
Acerola
Add ice to champagne flutes. Fill half of a champagne flute with chilled champagne, then top off with chilled acerola (west indian cherry) juice.
Tip: These will taste so much better with real fruit juice. Definitely look at the ingredients list of the juice you are purchasing. Avoid those high in sugar – a juice without added sugar will better pair with the champagne!
