Puerto Rico continues in October to offer a wide range of activities and events. Here is a highlight of some of the events to be found on the island in October (be sure to verify prior to making the trek though):

October 3-5: Marc Anthony in Concert: Marc Anthony returns to the Puerto Rico Coliseum José M. Agreot with his “Vivir Mi Vida” Tour. Come enjoy as he performs his new single “Vivir Mi Vida” in addition to great hits like “I Need To Know”, “Tu Amor Me Hace Bien”, “Celos”, “Preciosa” among others. Tickets available through www.ticketpop.com, Walmart Stores and Amigo Supermarkets as well as the Coliseum Box Office.

October 4-21: There might not be a better place to celebrate Oktoberfest than at Casa Bavaria located in Orocovis. Or visit the Heidelberg Restaurant in Rio Grande. This German restaurant is fairly new but is located on the way to EL Yunque, right down the street from us here at Caribbean Trading Company.

October 5-7: Middles Beach in Isabela welcomes world-class surfing with the 22nd edition of the Corona Extra Pro Surf Circuit. This is the second event of the circuit, and a total purse of $37,000 is up for grabs.

October 10: The town of Quebradillas celebrates its patron saint festival.

October 18-20: Ponce Yacht and Fishing Club Competition: The most celebrated and important event of the year for sailing enthusiasts in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, with over 50 boats entered. ponceyachtandfishingclub.com/

October 20-21: The town of Peñuelas honors its patron saint, Santo Cristo de la Salud, who is believed to have saved the town from an ocean deluge. Expect live music, rides, religious processions and food kiosks.

October 24-28: Puerto Rico Tango Festival in San Juan: The Puerto Rico Tango Festival – “Tango del Encanto” will celebrate its 3rd edition in historic Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. In addition to workshops and dance exhibitions by Tango masters from around the world, the festival includes “Milongas” or social dances in this beautiful setting. Argentine Tango dance shows and live music performances will be showcased at different venues in and around Old San Juan.

October 23-27: The Encanto World Series Bodyboarding Championship at Middles Beach in Isabela

October 28: Coors Light’s Circotic scares up some serious fun at the pier at Isla Grande, with a cast of local and global acts ready to rock Halloween.
