There are many excellent Puerto Rico bed and breakfast and small inns located in eastern Puerto Rico. Whether your goal is to find something with character or personal charm, or are looking for a place to stay that is below resort prices, there are several great places that we often recommend to our customers. Many times, we are asked for recommendations for a place to stay that very night. For those of you planning a trip to Puerto Rico: this can be a risky strategy. If budget is an important factor for you, it is best to book in advance. There are certain times in the high season (January- August), where everything is at full capacity, and planning at the last moment can force you into either paying more that you want to, or driving into San Juan to get accommodations. This list does not include vacation rentals, which is a whole category unto itself. Here is a list of some of our favorite places on the eastern coast (by town):

Luquillo Sunrise Inn
Luquillo Sunrise Beach Inn is a small hotel with 17 rooms, right across the street from the ocean in the town of Luquillo! Great ocean views from the balconies, walk across the street to swim. Yunque Mar Parador
One of Yunque Mar’s characteristic attributes is their location on Luquillo’s Fortuna Beach, close to the main attractions of the eastern portion of the island. Parador Yunque Mar offers spectacular ocean views from its ample terrace, and the steady sound of the waves is simply unrivaled. The hotel has 15 ample double guestrooms, including two family bedrooms that can accommodate four people and two suites for up to six guests. Rio Grande
El Yunque Rainforest Inn

Casa Cubuy EcoLodge
Situated on the South side of El Yunque Rainforest, Casa Cubuy offers comfortable lodgings where you are surrounded by the beauty and wonders of this lush rain forest. Sunbathe on granite boulders worn smooth by eons of swirling waters, relax in a hammock on the verandah, read, or watch the clouds roll by in this peaceful setting of giant tree ferns, towering breadfruit trees, cascading waterfalls, and wild orchids. The Ecolodge has ten rooms;l each of which has its own unique charm.
