Samples Policy: We are happy to send samples to you. Our policy is that you pay the shipping, we provide the samples. If you would like to keep them, we would then bill you the quoted price. If not, we ask that they be returned within 21 days via US Priority Mail as UPS or FED EX require payment of an import tax for the value Customs declares. If this is acceptable to you, please furnish us with a preferred shipper and account number.
Personalization and Customization We can customize any of the gifts described or we can create one specifically for you! A gift is a personal touch and we want to ensure that your gift comes alive and is well-received. From logo’d items and promotional gifts to unique handcrafted artisan items, we have thousands of gifts at our fingertips. Please contact us with your request or idea and we’ll work to get it done!
Sale of Goods and Deposit/Payment Schedule:
Caribbean Trading Company shall transfer and deliver to Buyer the goods indicated on the invoice requested by the Buyer. Buyer will sign Terms of Agreement upon receipt of Invoice. When the Buyer accepts and signs the Terms of Agreement, the initial deposit amount requested on the invoice should be received.
A Deposit of 80% is requested upon receipt of invoice. The final balance should be received upon the delivery of the goods.
Buyer agrees to make payments by any of the following: Check, Money Order, or Credit Card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. If a payment is submitted by Credit Card, your invoice will reflect a 4% surcharge over the total invoice. A credit card authorization form is provided upon request.
Returned checks will have a charge of $35.00.
Goods shall be delivered or transferred only upon receipt of instructions. Person designated to receive merchandise will confirm that the merchandise was received. Caribbean Trading Company is not responsible for merchandise that has been received and accepted. Caribbean Trading Company will not be responsible for loss or error occurred by recipient.
Caribbean Trading Company is pleased to offer a cancellation/rescheduling policy. Cancellations must be received forty-five (45) days prior to the date of the event. Cancellations due to War, Government regulations, disasters, strikes, or civil disorders making it illegal or impossible to provide the services, or hold the event will not be subject to cancellation penalties. Any other reason for cancellations not previously described, are subjected to a 30% cancellation fee. The charges will be as follows: for the transport of merchandise back to the warehouse, restocking, and the shipping and handling costs of returned merchandise, a fee that is 30% of the total invoice will be levied. Custom orders and items with custom logos cannot be returned. These agreements above can only be canceled by Caribbean Trading Company or Buyer forty-five (45) days prior to delivery.
Our gifts are available for Courier Delivery in the San Juan Metroplex and surrounding areas to one location, Monday- Saturday. Delivery Charge: $2.00 per basket, minimum of $50.00. Sunday deliveries carry a $50.00 surcharge. Large orders will have a delivery discount and will be agreed and confirmed upon prior to order confirmation.
Delivery and Shipping to Other Destinations:
All quotes are the price of the actual gift. All other charges are done at actual. We will be happy to quote for shipping/customs/duties up front but they are only an estimate and will be invoiced as a separate charge, not included in the sell price of the gift. We are happy to use any provided shipping account.
Availability and Substitutions
While we monitor our inventory to ensure accuracy, there are on occasion, instances where certain items become unavailable. When that occurs, we would be pleased to make suggestions for comparable vintages, varietals or other substitutions of the same or greater value.
We will personalize a 5×7 Gift Card with your personal message. We have many cards available and can customize to your needs: Tropical, Puerto Rican, or Holiday-themed.

Should you want combine individual items enclosed in catalog together, please budget $7.00 for packaging costs. Each of the baskets would be packaged with cellophane in your choice of a pava hat or wheat tray with cello and raffia. Pava hats are available in natural, green, red and purple. If you are looking for something with even more presentation pizzazz, we can bump it up a notch to provide something that will really ‘wow’. From natural orchids and ginger to hand-woven natural palm baskets, the options are endless!
