A native of Luquillo, Josue resides in the lush mountainous rainforest where he farms and pursues his artwork. He has worked for many years with bamboo and fire and strives to bring traditional Taino Indian symbols to a larger audience. All of the bamboo used is recycled from near his country home. The artist will do an exhibition demonstrating how he cures and prepares the bamboo and will talk about the Taino Indian history of the island and the significance of the petroglyphs.
